Randy Anderson, owner and trainer at Crosscountry Kennels, LLC, has devoted his life to the care, training, and development of sporting and working dogs, including various dog breeds. As a breeder, he has successfully bred and developed numerous champions. After serving over 20 years in the fire service, Randy pursued his passion for bird dogs, embarking on a professional career as a dog trainer and competitor in field trials across North America, from the Canadian Prairies to the Piney Woods of Florida. Randy’s contributions to the field trial world are extraordinary. With over 1,000 placements, 56 champions, and 14 Dog of the Year awards, he has set a high standard of excellence. He has won the prestigious Joe Hurdle Award for Top Dog, four times and the Purina Top Dog Award, three times. Additionally, he has claimed the Quail Championship Invitational title, four times, with two additional Runner-Up finishes. Among his proudest achievements is the induction of two of his dogs into the Field Trial Hall of Fame: Champion Millers Happy Jack and Champion Valiant. Randy’s enduring legacy reflects his deep passion, unmatched expertise, and lifelong commitment to the care, training, and success of dogs.
