DOG TRAINING QUESTIONS
-
We have no breed restrictions. Crosscountry Kennels is best known for field trial and sporting dogs, but we train everything from working breeds and family companions to mixed breeds. Every dog is evaluated individually, so we can recommend the right program based on their temperament, instincts, behavior, and training goals.
-
Every dog is directly trained by Randy Anderson, owner of Crosscountry Kennels and a professional dog trainer with decades of hands-on experience. Randy is a NePoPo® Silver Graduate and works with our training dogs daily, developing obedience, responsiveness, confidence, and control through structured repetition.
Randy is supported by the Crosscountry Kennels team, who help manage daily routines, reinforce learning, and assist with on-site and off-site training outings.
-
To reserve a spot, start by completing our training reservation form here. Once we review your dog’s information, goals, and preferred timing, we’ll follow up with available dates, program recommendations, board and train rates, and next steps for confirming your reservation.
-
At the end of your dog’s training program, we’ll walk you through what your dog has learned and how to continue the work at home. Training doesn’t stop when your dog leaves our facility, so this handoff helps you understand the commands, expectations, and handling needed to maintain their progress.
-
No. Crosscountry Kennels has the equipment needed for your dog’s training program on-site, including training collars, field trial equipment, bitework and nosework equipment, and goal-specific training tools. Once we review your dog’s program, we’ll let you know if there’s anything personal or specific you should bring from home.

DOG Boarding QUESTIONS
-
Please bring your dog’s current vaccination records, any required medications, and any special care instructions we should know about.
All boarders must have a current vaccine record. Your dog must also have a current Bordatella vaccine. Your pet must have a vaccine AT LEAST 14 days prior to their stay with us. Without this vaccine, your dog will not be allowed in our facility.
Absolutely no big beds with stuffing will be allowed into our facility during your pets stay. All kennel runs will have a comfortable cot for your pet to lay on.
We highly recommend that you bring your pets food to avoid an upset stomach from feeding a new food. It must be labeled with their name and feeding instructions. We do have food available at the kennel. We feed Purina ProPlan. To use our kennel food, there will be a daily charge of $5.
If your pet is on ANY medication, it needs to be labeled and have clear written instructions.
-
Yes. While we provide Purina Pro Plan for all boarding and training dogs, you’re welcome to bring your dog’s regular food if you prefer to keep them on their current diet. Please package it clearly and include feeding instructions with your reservation information.

-
For boarding and training stays, dogs must be current on Rabies, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, and a core combination vaccine commonly listed as DA2PP, DHPP, or DAPP, which covers adenovirus-2, parvovirus, and parainfluenza. We also highly recommend the Canine Flu vaccine.
